Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how SoundRadar ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website (including pricing and checkout), create or manage an account, purchase a subscription, contact support, or download and run the SoundRadar desktop audio application for Windows.

Our desktop app is built around processing audio in your PC's signal path—including routing through the virtual device we refer to as the SoundRadar.gg Cable (the HiFi-style virtual cable role, renamed for our product). SoundRadar does not modify, scan, or alter your game files; it works by handling audio streams and related configuration as described in our Terms of service.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

• Account and identity data—such as email, username, or identifiers from a linked provider (for example Discord), when you register or sign in.
• Transaction data—order references, plan type, and payment status. Payment card details are typically handled directly by our payment processors; we receive limited tokens or confirmations rather than storing full card numbers ourselves, unless our integration explicitly states otherwise.
• Technical and usage data—IP address, browser type, device and OS information, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and cookies or similar technologies on the website, used for security, analytics, and service improvement.
• Support and communications—messages you send us (including via Discord tickets), and metadata needed to respond.
• App-related diagnostics—if the desktop app implements telemetry or crash reporting, we may collect error reports, version numbers, and non-content technical signals to fix bugs and improve stability. We do not design this to read the contents of your game directories as part of normal operation; processing is focused on audio path behavior and application health.

How we use information

We use the information above to: provide and secure the website and desktop app; process purchases and subscriptions; authenticate you; communicate about your account, updates, or policy changes; detect fraud and abuse; analyze aggregated usage trends; comply with legal obligations; and improve compatibility with Windows audio stacks and the SoundRadar.gg Cable experience.

Sharing and processors

We may share data with service providers who assist us (hosting, payments, analytics, email delivery, customer support tooling). They are permitted to use data only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or asset transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above, including satisfying legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and jurisdiction.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails where applicable. To exercise rights, contact us through the channels we provide. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

International transfers

If we or our processors operate in multiple countries, your information may be processed in jurisdictions that have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

Children

SoundRadar is not directed at children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data collection without parental authorization. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children in violation of those rules.

Refunds and billing inquiries
